SR 141 Closure – Transmission Main Replacement Phase IIA

As work continues on the City’s water system upgrades, a full closure of State Route 141 (SR 141) will be required to complete the next phase of the Transmission Main Replacement project.

During the closure, through traffic will not be allowed within the project area, and drivers will need to use alternate routes. Clearly marked detours and traffic control will be in place to help guide travel and maintain safety.

During the weekday closure, no through traffic will be permitted within the project limits. Motorists will need to use alternate routes. Traffic control and signage will be in place to assist with detours and ensure public safety.

Emergency vehicles and school buses will be allowed through the work zone to maintain critical services and access.

Closure Details:

• Start Date: April 13, 2026
• Estimated End Date: May 22, 2026
• Closure Schedule:
  • SR 141 will be fully closed Monday through Friday, day and night
  • The road will reopen to regular traffic on weekends

Closure Limits:
From the intersection of Alt SR 141 and SR 141 to the top of Bald Mountain (Bald Mountain Corners), approximately milepost 4.69 to 3.82.

The City understands this closure will impact daily routines, and we appreciate the public’s patience as this essential work moves forward. These improvements are an important step in strengthening the reliability of the City’s water system for the long term.

Updates will be provided through the City’s website, Voyent Alert system, and local media outlets.
