Small Works Roster Scope of Work
Fire Hall Roof Replacement

The City of White Salmon is seeking sealed bids for the following work:

  • Remove existing roof and haul away debris
  • Use self-adhered underlayment (“Ice and Water Shield) on lower edges, up to two feet inside interior wall, plus around chimney and other penetrations.
  • Install new laminated fiberglass composition shingle use nail fasteners, high wind nailing pattern – 25 year guarantee
  • Install new trim flashings on all edges
  • Install new plumbing vent flashings
  • Install metal/stem damper vents at bath fans

All work is subject to Washington state prevailing wages available at https://lni.wa.gov/licensing-permits/public-works-projects/prevailing-wage-rates/.

A sample small works contract is attached. Retainage of 10% will be required to be withheld from payment until all appropriate paperwork is filed with the state.

Contractors must be listed on the City’s Small Works Roster prior to submitting a quote. The Small Works Roster Application is available on the city’s webpage at http://www.white-salmon.net – click on Bids and RFPs.

Please submit sealed bids marked “Fire Hall Roof” to the Jan Brending, City of White Salmon at janb@ci.white-salmon.wa.us or at City Hall, 100 N. Main, White Salmon WA 98672 by 4:00 p.m., July 28, 2021. Bids will be opened at City Hall at 4:10 p.m. on July 28, 2021.
