Boil Water Notice-Strawberry Mountain Vicinity

Map showing boundaries for boil water notice

Boil Water & Conservation Notice

Residents in the vicinity of Strawberry Mountain as highlighted in the map, please take the following precautions:

  • Boil water used for drinking purposes for at least 1 minute at a rolling boil before use.
  • Boil water for any activities where it may be ingested.
  • Do not drink from any public plumbing fixtures in the affected area.
  • Water may be used for washing and bathing, as long as it is not ingested.

Levels in the reservoir reached a low enough threshold that precautions were taken to manually restore the reservoir level. However, this means water sampling is required before we can lift the boil water advisory, which will not occur until the morning of Monday, July 14.

Residents in the same affected area, please limit outdoor watering, car washing, and filling pools or hot tubs until further notice. These precautions continue to be in place to mitigate the impacts of a pump failure last month, which is affecting water delivery to the Strawberry Mountain Reservoir Pressure Zone. The necessary parts for a full repair are enroute but are not expected to be received until late July.

Specific areas in the affected zone include:

  • Strawberry Mountain
  • Spring Street
  • El Camino
  • Cochran
  • Country View
  • Sol Vista
  • Alta Vista
  • Parts of Loop Road

This boil water alert and water conservation notice are in effect until further notice.
