Water Curtailment Notice – Strawberry Mountain Pressure Zone

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - JUNE 22, 2026

The City of White Salmon will be replacing a critical water system pump serving the Strawberry Mountain Pressure Zone on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

To help maintain adequate water supply and system pressure during this work, all customers within the Strawberry Mountain Pressure Zone are asked to curtail non-essential water use from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Please avoid:

  • Lawn and landscape irrigation
  • Vehicle washing
  • Filling pools or hot tubs
  • Other non-essential outdoor water use

Customers should continue normal indoor water use as needed.

During this work, customers may experience temporary reductions in water pressure. Excessive water use within the pressure zone could result in a significant loss of system pressure. If system pressure drops below safe operating levels, the City may be required to issue a Boil Water Advisory for affected customers until water quality testing confirms the system is safe.

We appreciate your cooperation as we complete this important maintenance and improve the reliability of the City's water system.

If you have any questions or concerns about the project, please feel free to contact Chris True, Public Works Director for the City of White Salmon, at christ@whitesalmonwa.gov or (509) 493-1133, ext. 500.
