Special City Council Meeting

The Council Meeting will meet both in person and via Zoom Teleconference.

Agenda Overview: The Special City Council meeting will address several time-sensitive items related to emergency recovery funding, community events, and land-use policy.

The Consent Agenda includes approval of a $1 million Washington State Department of Commerce Emergency Rapid Response Grant to support repairs and restoration of infrastructure damaged during the May 28, 2026 storm, along with a $1,000 Washington State Historical Society America’s 250th Events Grant to help cover traffic control and event safety costs for the 2026 Fourth of July Parade.

Council will also consider Ordinance 2026-1189, which would establish a temporary moratorium on new Small-Box Discount Store applications within the Commercial (C) District while the City reviews potential long-term development regulations.
