Notice is hereby given that the City of White Salmon City Council will hold public hearings to consider Ordinance No. 2026-06-1188, proposing WSMC 15.04 – Electric Vehicle Charging in Residential Construction, and Resolution No. 2026-05-645, adopting the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program for the years 2027–2032. The hearings will provide an opportunity for public review and comment prior to Council consideration.

The proposed ordinance would require new residential construction to include sufficient electrical capacity to support future electric vehicle charging (“EV-ready”). The Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program identifies and prioritizes planned transportation and pedestrian improvement projects within the City of White Salmon.

The public hearings will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the White Salmon Fire Hall, 119 NE Church St., White Salmon, WA, and via teleconference. Information on how to attend remotely will be available on the City’s website.

Interested persons are invited to attend and provide testimony in person or submit written comments prior to the hearings to City Clerk Erika Castro-Guzman at erikac@whitesalmonwa.gov.

Copies of the proposed ordinance and resolution will be available on May 29, 2026.
